Burgers and Tennis

Well I'm back in the swing of things and I have some catching up to do as we have been really busy.  While this post has nothing to do with Travel, it is some of our adventures.

After Disney it was nice to have a weekend where we could just hang out at home.  We had just got a new patio set that needed trying out so Kyle fired up the BBQ for some burgers.

 Chilling out
 Yummy Burger

After dinner we headed out front to play some tennis.  Tavish will be taking tennis lesson in June (just because I think it will be FUNNY) so I gave him a racket to see how he'd do.
 He has potential
 Time for a quick lesson
 Better before the lesson
Okay eating the racket is more fun

Fixing the Flat - Last Day of Helmetless Fluffy Hair and Our Activities

Tomorrow Callen will enter into Cranial Technologies with a head full of fluff (I'm not sure I'd call it hair) and will exit with a helmet full of fluff.  He'll have an adjustment period but will have to wear it for 23 hours a day for about 6-8 weeks.  Here are the few pictures of his fluffy head before he gets banded:
100 Days Old - good thing I won't have to hide his eye lashes

See not much hair, just fluff
 My cutie
And because this is a trip and travel blog here are some pictures of our activities over the last few days:
Friday was such a nice day - Tavish had a great time playing in his shorts
Today: no shorts but fun sledding
Callen not too sure about this sledding thing
This is how Callen fell asleep with his arms up
 3...2...1... Blast-Off
Mission Control
Now time for a snack (frozen breastmilk in a bag) Yum.

With a combination of bad weather and the fact I'm still not feeling great, we spent the last few days at home but we did have fun.

More Snowy Fun

I must say while I love the warmer weather in Virginia, I must say I do miss snow that last for more than a week and I could do without the crazy panic when snow does fall.  Anyway here are some pictures of the latest snowfall (2 weeks ago - I'm a bit behind on my blog because we're too busy doing stuff).

Slip and Slide

We were having some friends come over yesterday for a nice little Fathers Day BBQ.  The temperature outside was suppose to be around 35 (90 something in Fahrenheit) and with all Canadians coming over we figured we needed something to help cool us down (most of us are not too accustomed to it being this hot in June).  Target was having a sale on Slip and Slides so I figured it would be the perfect way to cool down and for $3.99 if it's the only time we use it who cares. I was not too sure how well Tavish would like it as he's only 2 and sometimes he loves water and other times not so much.  Well the test run was a huge success:
